You built something worth finding. Let’s make sure people can find it.
You didn’t start your business to become an SEO expert. You started it because you’re good at what you do — and you believed customers would show up if you put yourself out there. But Google doesn’t run on belief. It runs on data.
Most local SEO providers will bury you in impressions, sessions, and dashboards that look impressive and mean nothing. I focus on the numbers that pay your bills: rankings for searches your buyers actually type, calls from your Google Business Profile, and leads that turn into revenue. Think of me as your outsourced data translator — I read the spreadsheets so you don’t have to.
I Turn Search Data Into Customers for Local Businesses.
Hi, I’m Sami Kern — founder of MOAB Marketing and an SEO growth strategist for small businesses in Huntsville and North Alabama. I cut through agency fluff and vanity metrics to deliver the things you actually care about: more calls, more customers, and less money burned on ads.
I've spent over a decade helping businesses connect the right message to the right audience — long before "SEO" was part of my vocabulary.

How a Web Designer Became a Data-Obsessed SEO Strategist
My career started inside the code. For over a decade I built websites from scratch — not writing about them, building them — before moving through multimedia consulting, B2B marketing, and defense and government marketing, where getting the message right carried the highest stakes there are.
Along the way I earned my M.A. in Mass Communication & Media Arts, and kept running into the same question in every role: how do we make sure the right people actually see this?
SEO turned out to be the most powerful answer I found — because data doesn’t lie.
While other marketers guess at what might work, I reverse-engineer why certain businesses own the local map pack while others sit invisible on page four. Behind every search query is a real person in your community, ready to buy, right now.
My job is making sure they find you first.

When You Hire Me, You Get Me
At a traditional agency, a polished senior strategist wins your business — then hands your account to an overworked junior juggling 40 others. I do things differently, and it’s your advantage:
• Direct access to the expert: When you have a question, you talk to the person actually analyzing your data — not an account manager relaying messages.
• Zero agency bloat: No downtown office, no layers of overhead. Your investment goes into strategy and execution, period.
• Deep alignment: I take on a select number of local clients at a time, so your business gets the focus it deserves — and your growth is my reputation.
My Local Search Marketing Framework
Like chess, good SEO is a sequence — every move sets up the next one. Here’s how we play:
-
Step 1 — The Opening: the local audit: I dissect your site’s technical foundation, your competitors, and your local map pack position, then show you exactly what’s holding you back. No jargon, no guesswork.
-
Step 2 — The Middlegame: the blueprint: I build a keyword and content strategy around the searches your ready-to-buy customers actually type — "emergency plumber Huntsville," not "24/7 licensed plumbing solutions."
-
Step 3 — The Endgame: the growth engine: We optimize your Google Business Profile, build local visibility, and design the path from visitor → call → customer — then track revenue, not just clicks.

Behind the Data: Meet the Strategy Team

While I handle the algorithms and analytics, I don’t work entirely alone. Meet Luna and Skidders, my two ferrets and Chief Morale Officers.
Like good SEO, they’re relentlessly curious, brilliant at digging into tight spaces, and highly strategic about where they hide things.
They can’t read schema markup, but they’re world-class at making sure I step away from the spreadsheets for regular play breaks.
And make sure I pay my shoe taxes! LOL!
